Happy New Year form all of us at Uptown Event Productions!

 It certainly has been a very busy holiday season.  From the Thanksgiving Day Parade to the Meineke Car Care Bowl to First Night Charlotte, with a dozen of other events as well, we have been in overdrive.   We are also happy to report that all went very well.

 This was the first time in more than a decade that First Night Charlotte was celebrated.  There are always many uncertainties going into an event this large in it's first year.  We provided lighting or staging or audio or a combination of all three for more than a dozen stages.  These ranged from slam poetry to improv comedy to oprah to the main stages!  We began our load in on Monday night, setting all of the stages.  Tuesday was a long day in getting all audio and lighting set up.  We finished about 6 hours ahead of schedule (which is always a good place to be) which made for an easy day on Wednesday, New Year Eve.

It is currently New Years Eve and we are in final preparations for First Night Charlotte. All is well and we will post pictures soon.
